For the Runner…
Or any high impact workout these are my essentials:
#1 A GOOD SPORTS BRA: For this a recommend the Adjustable Mesh Bra or the All Star Bra. The Adjustable Mesh comes in Black and Forest Camo and you will want to size down in this bra a perfect fit. The All Star Bra fits true to size and comes in a variety of colors (Black, White, Red, Navy, Coral, Olive & Pewter)
#2 The Perfect Pair of Leggings: Sorry to discriminate against all of you who love to wear shorts but I am a leggings girl. These Pocket Light n Tight Leggings are the reason I decided to become a ZYIA Rep! High compression in all the right places meaning all over, including over your belly button, and pockets that will secure any phone for your longest runs without weighing you down. They fit true to size but are intentionally compressive and they come in a variety of colors, lengths and styles.
#3 A Tank or Shirt: I don’t know about you but, it could below freezing, and I am still going to sweat during an intense run or workout. My go to top is the Copper Charged Tank. First, I love racerbacks and second, I love the length on this tank. It’s long and form fitting so size up if don’t like a top that hugs your middle. The copper infused fabric, not only whisks away moisture, but also helps stomp out stinky odors. This tank comes in several colors. If you like a long sleeve without the weight, the Chill Long T is the way to go. This shirt offers complete coverage with maximum ventilation, fits true to size and comes in Black, White, Red, Purple and Teal.
#4 The Accessories: Okay so a jacket probably doesn’t classify as an accessory but I’m not one to really run in a jacket so, for me, it is. If you like running in a jacket, or just in need of an ultra, light weight and stylish jacket, the Bomber Jacket is it. Strategic ventilation make it ideal for warmer weather, but with it’s hood, thumb holes and chinch waist, you’ll also be able to ward off that chill in the air. Socks, this might be the one and only time I will recommend Lululemon over anything we have to offer but, the Power Stride Tab Socks are my favorite for running. Also, the first thing I do when I get new pair of running shoes, replace the insole. It doesn’t have to be the most expensive, Dr. Scholl’s works just fine for me, but replacing your insole with an athletic one will add miles to your feet and knees.
This is my amazing teammate Suzy Goodwin. She is an inspiration to me on a daily basis and I couldn’t explain to you any better why I love running so much. It doesn’t matter if you are an ultra marathoner or a fun runner, if you have the run bug, you will be able to relate to everything she has to say here.
